Ouch!

Well yesterday Sky had a catastrophe~ We were arriving home and Sky jumped out of the car and was saying hello to the neighbor and unknowingly slammed her right thumb in the car door! Ack! Her thumb was half in the door/half out and she yelled "mom open the door quick, my thumbs stuck!" I, myself couldn't believe my eyes! I jumped out of the car and rushed over and opened the door and needless to say, she was/is in pain and her thumb is majorly swollen/ black/blue and bloody. She refused to put ice on it and so we are just hoping it heals quickly. I took her into the Dr today and they were afraid it was broken but the test came back negative so at least there is a positive there. Her right hand is pretty much immobile so that makes school and doing simple tasks a little more tricky. She will also probably miss her big end of the year performance at gymnastics, which is also a bummer~ Hopefully it will heal up soon~ Here are some pictures, sorry if it is too much for the eye (Sky thinks its pretty cool) :) You can click on it to enlarge~
