We have been home for about 3 full days and all is going well. Aubrie is such a joy and is a perfect baby girl. She is doing well and is about 5 pounds 6oz now... The first night was a bit rough but otherwise nights have beeb ok. She wakes every 3 hours to eat and goes back to sleep ( well except last night, she stayed up with nate for 2 hours ) We bought her one of those cosleepers but she is not very happy in it :) She starts grunting when we put her in and when we take her out and put her by mom, she is fine and dandy, and so that is where she sleeps..:) Dad has been sleeping in the recliner next to the bed :) Hopefully she will like her cosleeper at one point...
We went for an appt at the womens center on Wednesday and her jaundice level had gone up, and so we were sent to the hospital lab for another horrible blood test. It took about 20 minutes to get all the blood they needed and she bellowed the whole time :( The poor little girl has been pricked and prodded so many times between blood sugar tests, jaundice tests, pku tests, vitamin injections,car seat tests, etc.... Then we get to peel off all the bandaids, sticky monitors, etc... it is pretty sad all they have to go through in the first hours of life :(
