For the Thanksgiving Holiday we took a family trip to Iowa to see
Nates family. We left home on the 20
th and came back on the 28t
h. It was a nice trip and great to see all of his family that we hadn't seen in some time.... We hadn't been there in 8 years and so it was about time! :O) We also broke the news about the pregnancy (Thank goodness!) and found out
Nates sister Janell is expecting too!(Congrats!) :) Anyway, here are some pics, click to enlarge if you like :O) Thanks for the great time everyone and also for the great gifts for the kids :)
On the way to the rainy Seattle airport!
~* I'll keep it short and say our trip to Iowa was interesting...(Nate was ready to ring some necks
lol) Talk about airplane delays, switched flights, no seats together, Nate running miles and for hours around the airports to get things figured out, and the loss of ALL our baggage by the time we hit Iowa... (It was still in Seattle) Anyway, these are some pics of the Minneapolis Airport at the play area where we had a layover, ate dinner, and played... *~

~*We got to
Nates dads house at about 1:30am on the 20
th and stayed through the 23rd... We spent
alot of time eating at
Nates "old favorites" and touring his old home town. The kids also enjoyed playing with Jacob, Tank (the dog) and all the neat toys! While we were there it snowed and the kids had a blast playing in it! This is a pic of Sky and her uncle Jacob who is younger then her
lol *~

~*Noah had fun pushing his little snowplow truck (That Grandpa bought him) around and sledding*~

~*On the 23rd we went and visited with
Nates sister Janell (who is also expecting!)and saw her and her husbands new home, which was very cool! We then went and checked into the hotel and Nate took the kids swimming, while mom watched :) Dad was a little wimpy getting into the cold pool
lol*~ After swimming we went and met
Nates brother Ryan and his mom and Scott at
Ryans stores
restaurant, which was delicious! And the store was cool too! Thanks Ryan!*~

~*On the 24
th, Nate and his mom and Scott took the kids to the Science Center*~ I hope that someone took more pics that I can post?" Noah loved the crane!*~

~*Our awesome hotel room..
Nates brother got us a dank deal ($35 a night) for a full out condo style room that was brand new with a kitchen, living room, and 2 bedrooms, it was perfect!*~

~*Sky loving her complimentary hot cocoa
lol*~

~*We went back to
Nates dads house on the 25
th and 26
th and had a nice dinner with all his brothers and sisters. His dad cooked up a nice meal and we also took a couple family photos.*~

~*Nate and Ryan chopping wood, fun fun! All the guys (Phil and Eric) helped out but I only got a few pics. Nate had the easiest job as you can see*~

~*Noah loved the lawnmower at Grandma and Grandpa
Hanson's and spent
alot of time on it
hehe *~

~*Grandma, Nate and Ryan working on the wood again*~

~*Grandma Hanson bought some crafty things for the kids to do*~

~*
Nates brothers and sisters and mom*~

~*Sky really enjoyed spending time with her grandma Hanson. This is our last day in Iowa... Grandma made blankets for the kids and they really love them and came in handy when we got home to a 40 degree house, brrrrr!*~

~*On the way home, Noah slept the whole way on moms lap (talk about pain with being 28 weeks pregnant and stuffed into a corner for 3 1/2 hours!) and Sky finally fell asleep about 45 minutes before we landed. Nate sat on the isle seat on the other side...That was a long flight! I guess its also worth noting that the night before we were to leave Noah was up throwing up all night and then developed diaria in the morning as well. Luckily he had the full day to rest and held it down during the flights but when we got to the Seattle airport he puked again while we were trying to haul all 12 peice sof luggage lol, luckily we had a bag on hand! Sky is now sick. Always keeping things interesting!

~*Noah so happy to be home playing with his toys from Grandma Hanson ( and with his hat on that he made on Thanksgiving) (Thank you!)

~*Thanks for everything and for a great time IOWA family! Know we would love to have you guys visit us in Seattle at anytime! There are tons of fun things to do here!*~
